Meet the Human Behind the Magic: Nathalie Dautruche’s Birthday Edition

Today feels like a good day to slow down for a second and share something a little more personal.

It’s Nathalie Dautruche’s birthday! 🎂

Behind the timelines, the details, and the calm voice in the middle of wedding-day chaos, I’m also just a person who loves a good beat, a sweet drink with a tiny splash of almond extract, and making people feel comfortable and cared for.

So for this birthday edition, here’s a little about me.

Coffee, Chocolate, and a Tiny Bit of Extra

I love coffee. I love chocolate. And if something sweet is in a glass, there’s a very real chance I’m adding a little almond extract to it.

Lemonade, iced tea, punch… I know it sounds oddly specific, but it makes me happy. I’ve always believed the little things can change the whole experience, and apparently that applies to drinks too.

The Song That Will Absolutely Get Me Moving

If you put on "Low" by Flo Rida, I am no longer pretending to be composed.

Something about that song will get me every time. It has become a running joke, and honestly, I’m perfectly fine with that.

Why I Love Planning in the First Place

What I love most about planning is simple: I love helping people feel at ease.

I’ve always been drawn to the part no one really sees — the smoothing, the organizing, the anticipating, the making space for people to actually enjoy what’s happening around them. Beautiful weddings matter, of course. But peace matters too.

That has always been the heart of it for me.

A Love for People and Their Stories

One thing that matters deeply to me is that people feel seen.

I’ve always loved the beauty of different traditions, different families, different energies, and the personal details that make a celebration feel honest. No two love stories are the same, and I never think they should be treated that way.

Intentional, Always

I’ve never been interested in weddings that feel performative or overdone just for the sake of it.

I love thoughtful details. I love warmth. I love when a wedding feels like the couple and not like noise. To me, that’s where the magic really lives.

A Birthday Wish from Nathalie

If I could leave couples with one thing, it would be this: don’t forget to enjoy each other while you’re planning.

Have the coffee dates. Dance in the kitchen. Laugh when something gets weird. Hold onto the reason you started all of this in the first place.

Happy Birthday, Nathalie! Here’s to another year of love stories, meaningful details, and beautiful moments that feel calm, honest, and full of heart.
